80 Years of Excellence, Tradition, and Dedication

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Moldova State University, the academic and scientific community of the institution marked this important milestone through a series of events dedicated to academic values, institutional tradition, and continuity between generations.

On September 25, 2026, the "Academic Debut Gala" and the "Alumni Gala" took place, events dedicated to promoting the young generation of researchers and highlighting the contribution of alumni to academic and scientific development. The Institute of Zoology of MSU was represented by the young researcher Natalia Colodrivscaia, who presented her debut experience in scientific research, while the "Alumni Gala" brought together university graduates, currently academics and researchers, emphasizing the continuity of the institution's academic tradition and values.

On September 28, 2026, another deeply emotional event took place: the "Meeting with MSU Veterans" organized by the MSU Trade Union Committee in collaboration with the "ȘTIINȚA" Trade Union. The event was attended by veterans of Moldova State University, including representatives of research institutes distinguished figures who belong to what can be considered the "golden generation" of the institution. Throughout their careers, they contributed substantially to the education and training of numerous generations of students, as well as to the advancement of scientific research. The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to reconnect and recall significant moments from their professional and academic journeys, while also offering them the opportunity to feel the appreciation and gratitude of an institution with a strong reputation both nationally and internationally.
