Researchers of the Institute of Zoology participated in the International Conference on Biodiversity, Conservation and Climate Change, Yerevan

Scientific researchers Sorina Istrati and Ecaterina Doni from the Laboratory of Systematics and Molecular Phylogeny of the Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University, participated in the second edition of the International Conference on Biodiversity, Conservation and Climate Change, organized by the Scientific Center for Zoology and Hydroecology of the NAS RA and Yerevan State University, Armenia. The event took place in person from June 9-12, 2026, bringing together international specialists in thematic sessions: Biodiversity Research, Conservation Biology, Ecology and Climate Change.

The results of the following studies were presented to the scientific community:

• Contributions to the Knowledge of the Coleoptera Fauna of some Steppe Areas of the Republic of Moldova (authors: Istrati Sorina, Moldovan Anna);
• Effect of UVB Radiation on Conidia of the Native Fungal Strains Beauveria Bassiana CNMN-FE-01 and Cordyceps Fumosorosea CNMN-FE-02 Formulated with Water‐Soluble Additives (authors: Doni Ecaterina, Moldovan Anna).

Participation in this international scientific event provided the opportunity to capitalize on the results of research conducted within the Institute of Zoology, MSU, to exchange experience with specialists in the field, and to identify new perspectives for collaboration in biodiversity research and the impact of climate change on the environment.
