Practical training activities in the research laboratories of the Institute of Zoology

On June 8, 2026, in the research laboratories of the Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University, practical training activities and familiarization with modern scientific research methods were carried out, within the framework of the specialty practice of the second-year full-time students of the Faculty of Biology and Geosciences, specializing in Ecology and Environmental Protection.

The activities aimed to consolidate the theoretical knowledge accumulated within the study program "Ecology and Environmental Protection", as well as to develop the practical skills necessary for conducting research activities in the field of ecology and biodiversity conservation.

During the visit, the students were familiarized with the laboratory infrastructure, the equipment used in zoological and ecological research, as well as with the main methods of collecting, processing and analyzing biological data. At the same time, they participated in practical demonstrations on the identification and monitoring of different groups of organisms, the assessment of the state of ecosystems and the application of research methods used in biodiversity studies and environmental protection.

The activity contributed to the deepening of the students' professional training and to the understanding of the importance of scientific research in solving current environmental problems and in promoting sustainable development.
