Institute of Zoology at the Forest Festival - 2025

The Forest Festival is a celebration dedicated to nature, national unity, and to those who love the forest and wish for a greener future for the Republic of Moldova. The event is part of the National Afforestation Program, launched in 2023 under the patronage of President Maia Sandu, and aims to reforest approximately 145,000 hectares over the next 10 years.

This year, the Forest Festival took place on September 14th on the grounds of the presidential residence in Condrița (Strășeni district). The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment, in partnership with the Environmental Journalists’ Association / Ecopresa, the National Environmental Project Implementation Office, the Office of the President of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, environmental organizations from Moldova, EcoLocal, Lafarge Moldova, with the support of Slovenia.

The participation of the Institute of Zoology of USM in the Forest Festival aimed to present the results of its scientific activities and to promote the Institute’s image. Through the exhibits displayed, the Institute of Zoology successfully attracted visitors of all ages into the fascinating world of zoology.
