Fourteen medals were included in the list of awards of the Institute of Zoology in June 2025

Researchers of the Institute of Zoology, Moldova State University, had a broad participation in the International Salon of Invention and Innovative Entrepreneurship, which held its works on 6-7 June 2025 within the premises of the Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University from Chisinau. 

Thus, in the Inventions category, the following works were presented:

  1. Zubcov Elena, Zubcov Natalia, Ungureanu Laurenția, Bagrin Nina, Miron Liviu-Dan, Bulat Denis, Ciorba Petru, Bileţchi Lucia, Andreev Nadejda. Method for pond farming of fish producers of cyprinids. 
  2. Melnic Maria, Erhan Dumitru, Gliga Olesea, Rusu Ştefan, Balan Ludmila, Slanina Valerina, Todiraș Vasile. Method for treating of seed potatoes against the nematode Ditylenchus destructor
  3. Toderaş Ion, Chihai Oleg, Erhan Dumitru, Rusu Ştefan, Zamornea Maria Savin Anatol, Nisteanu Victoria, Larion Alina. Baits producing process for wild canids treating. 
  4. Rusu Ştefan, Erhan Dumitru, Zamornea Maria, Toderaş Ion, Rusu Viorelia, Mascenco Natalia, Melnic Victor, Gologan Ion. Method for the prophylaxis and treatment of ectoparasitoses in domestic waterfowl. 

All four inventions were awarded gold medals. The Research and Development Center Healthy Vibe (Romania) noted the invention „Baits producing process for wild canids treating", appreciating it with a Certificate of Excellence.

In the Book Fair category, monographs were presented, but also a set of works for science popularization:

  1. Erhan Dumitru. Treatise on associated parasitic diseases of domestic animals (in Romanian). Gold medal, Certificate of Excellence awarded by the Research-Innovation Association Corneliugroup
  2. Croitor Roman. Plio-Pleistocene deer of Western Palearctic: taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny. Gold medal 
  3. Nistreanu Victoria. Insectivorous mammals (Mammalia: Erinaceomorpha, Soricomorpha) from the Republic of Moldova (in Romanian). Gold medal
  4. Munteanu Andrei, Savin Anatolie, Sîtnic Veaceslav, Larion Alina, Nistreanu Victoria. Ecology of small rodents (in Romanian). Gold medal
  5. Bușmachiu Galina, Bacal Svetlana, Munjiu Oxana, Burduja Daniela, Calestru Livia, Belova Victoria, Grozdeva Svetlana. Set of Insect popularization guides (in Romanian). Silver medal
  6. Garbuz Olga, Gudumac Valentin, Toderas Ion, Gulea Aurelian. Antioxidant properties of synthetic compounds and natural products. Action mechanisms. Gold medal
  7. Garbuz Olga, Toderas Ion, Gulea Aurelian. Biological properties of some synthetic and natural compounds. Correlation of anticancer and antioxidant activities. Gold medal, Certificate of Excellence awarded by the Research-Innovation Association Corneliugroup.

Between 25 and 27 June 2025, researchers from the Institute of Zoology presented their results at the 29th edition of the International Exhibition of Inventics INVENTICA 2025, organized by the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași, Romania.

The international jury awarded medals to all three presented works:

  1. Rusu Ştefan, Erhan Dumitru, Zamornea Maria, Toderaş Ion, Rusu Viorelia, Mascenco Natalia, Melnic Victor, Gologan Ion. Method for the prophylaxis and treatment of ectoparasitoses in domestic waterfowl. Silver medal
  2. Melnic Maria, Erhan Dumitru, Gliga Olesea, Rusu Ştefan, Balan Ludmila, Slanina Valerina, Todiraș Vasile. Method for treating of seed potato against the nematode Ditylenchus destructor. Gold medal
  3. Gulea Aurelian, Toderaş Ion, Garbuz Olga, Ţapcov Victor, Graur Vasilii, Floquet Sebastien, Fuior Arcadie, Cebotari Diana. A stimulator of the total antioxidant status of the hemolymph of bees. Gold medal
